"Hi Larry" Campaign Timeline
July 6, 7 & 8, 2009: Snail Mail Attack! Write 2 letters to Larry King asking him to invite ShelterBox onto his show. Send one letter to Larry's L.A. studio and the other to ShelterBox USA HQ (we're filling an actual ShelterBox full of your letters and sending them to Larry later in the campaign). Our goal is to send 10,000 separate letters--one representing every ShelterBox we deployed last year!
July 9, 2009: YouTube Attack! We're launching a personal YouTube appeal to Larry asking him to invite ShelterBox onto his show. As soon as it launches, watch it a million times, post it on all your friends pages, email it to everyone and everyone's grandma. Let's make sure it becomes a YouTube Featured Video so Larry can't ignore us!
July 10, 2009: Twitter & Facebook Attack! Today be sure to go to Larry's Twitter and Facebook pages and post a very simple message: Please invite ShelterBox onto your show!

The 'Hi Larry' campaign is an inspired initiative well done to the US office and all the volunteers around the world. It's a great example of what Tom Henderson calls 'collective will' which can make such a difference to the world and is one of the many unique qualities of ShelterBox. Sally Grint (UK)

ReplyDeleteInvite ShelterBox on your show. You will be amazed at what we do to help people who have lost everything in a disaster. The founder, Tom Henderson, was a CNN hero last year.
